The usual arrangement splits a project across an agency, a hosting provider and a freelancer, and the gaps between them become your problem. We take the whole span instead, which means there is never a question about whose fault something is.
Technology
Not out of preference, but because the requirement left no good alternative. A charting engine written on a bare canvas when no library could be embedded in the product. A market-surveillance suite in pure standard library because it had to install on a machine with no package manager. Several of our systems run with zero third-party runtime dependencies, and that was the right answer rather than a boast.
